A pneumatic pot dropper uses compressed
air to activate a release device known as a reciprocating jaw
and allow one pot at a time to drop down onto a conveyor prior
to filling and lidding. The jaw device is specially fabricated
to fit the contours of the pot or tub to be released. The pots
or tubs are stacked vertically in a framework and can be
replenished from the open top.
The pneumatic pot dropper can be adjusted to control the rate at
which pots are released to speed up or slow down the rate of
delivery.
Pots can be dispensed on a timed interval basis or by the
reception of a pneumatic or electronic signal from another
source or a sensor.
